indieDwell Colorado, which is opening a 100,000 sq ft facility in Pueblo to build high-performance modular housing, selected Bruce Hoyt to Chair the company’s board of directors. Bruce will, in partnership with the leadership team, set overall direction for the Colorado factory, begin rounding out board membership and increasing community partnerships. A senior financial services professional in Denver for four decades, Mr. Hoyt was instrumental in bringing indieDwell to Colorado in his role as the Senior Vice President of Impact Investing at Gary Community Investments. “indieDwell is the most complete and compelling social impact company I have ever encountered. Its housing platform creates significant environmental, social and workforce outcomes with the potential to impact thousands of families and workers,” said Mr. Hoyt.

indieDwell builds factories in economically distressed areas, pays employees living wages and competitive benefits, provides job training on-site, and constructs high-performance affordable housing for the markets it serves.

“Bruce instantly recognized the impact that indieDwell could generate in communities across the U.S. and has unparalleled experience and relationships in the impact investing community. He’s an incredible asset to the organization,” noted indieDwell Co-Founder Pete Gombert.

Slated to open in May of 2020, the Pueblo, CO factory will employ 100 people and construct nearly 300,000 sq ft of housing per year. A public welcoming is scheduled to occur in late Spring.
